Already in ancient times people had an idea about the healing properties of the liver. In Egypt a lot of dishes were prepared from the liver. In IX century liver was given to patients in need of vitamin A.
Today we are preparing young calf liver.
- Pepper, Olive oil, Salt, Onion. (Optional)
Throw away the white streaks.
Work with the cleaned up parts of the liver.
Place liver into milk for an hour.
Milk should cover the liver.
Mix 8 oz of flour with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste.
Now roll the liver in flour.
You should get small chunks of liver.
Fried onions is an optional addition to this dish.
Put lettuce in a bottom of the dish. Lay liver on it.
